There could be certain issues if the users are based in different time zone.

Let us take 2 issues :-

1) The SAP server is based in Singapore. The user is based in India. If the user enters an FI document in SAP at 10:00 pm India time on 23rd November 2009 what will be the default entry date and the posting date in SAP?

Solution: The entry date in the document will always be the Singapore server time which is 10:00 PM +2.30 hrs =12:30 AM or 00:30. Posting date in this case proposed by the system will be 24th Nov, 2009 (system date), but when the user post the document on-line he can always change the posting date to 23rd Nov, 2009 manually.

2) A Standard cost estimate needs to be released at midnight on 1 Dec 2009 for a company and plant code based in India and SAP server based in Singapore. At what time is it possible to release the standard cost estimate for the company code in India on 1 Dec 2009 ? Is it possible to release at 00:01 am on 1 Dec 2009 Singapore time (server time) ?

Solution: At 00:01 a.m. on 1 Dec 2009 Singapore time which is the server time technically it would have been possible to release the cost estimate, but in India the local time is still 22:31 or 10:31 pm 30th November 2009, therefore it is not possible to release the coste estimate at 00:01 but it would only be possible to release at 2:30 a.m on 1 Dec 2009 (which is 00:00 am 1st Dec 2009 in India)

Regards,

Aditya

SAP Treasury Configuration

There has been a huge demand for the SAP Treasury configuration material.
